Restaurant Review : Darios, Sunderbans Hotel, Pune

Today we check out Darios, one of Pune's first authentic Italian Restaurants, serving exclusively vegetarian cuisine!

Located in the evergreen and lush, Koregaon Park, Lane 1. Darios is strategically located and rarely disappoints in terms of its food, drink and dessert.

Started by Dezio Dario, it boasts legendary Italian combinations, using the choicest of ingredients.

A relaxed ambiance with both the indoor and outdoor seating options and hand painted art by Dario himself, the restaurant  is always welcoming!

SALAD ARANCIAZZOLA

A fresh, spectacular looking salad, certainly has charm! With crunchy lettuce leaves as a base, fresh orange greets you with a tangy hit.

The spring onions have an uncanny,spicy tone, complimented beautifully with rich, earthy gorgonzola cheese.

Fresh herbs add a more complex angle, completing a fresh and in-depth salad! 

TORTA PIPOLINO

Theres nothing better than to start mains than with a freshly hand-made tart. This one made at Darios is just heavenly!

The richness of the cheese and the texture of the warm tart are just melt in the mouth. The earthiness of the basil compliments in the tangy tomato coated baby potatoes.

The stewed pink onions add a new colour dimension to the plate. Their acidity adds an extra tinge of depth.

A wholesome, generous dish, a must try!

TORTELLINI ZARBA

Hand rolled pasta shells are filled with earthy mushrooms and cheese. The pretty pasta parcels are coated in a silky cheese based sauce.

The sauce is dotted with coloured bell peppers, adding a vibrance to the plate!

 A crunch element is introduced by unassuming sunflower seeds! A true surprise. The walnuts add a much needed nutty earthy flavour.

A bite into one of the pasta parcels envelopes your palette in the comfortable feeling of a home-made dish!
