Try our perfectly sumptuous juicy chicken & salami burgers to uplift your spirits!

Quick to make, fresh ingredients and a beautiful chicken patty, ensures you get the weekend food decadence in an amazing burger!

Heres what you need..


INGREDIENTS: ( Makes 4 juicy burgers!)



Cooking Time : 20 minutes ( 10 minutes prep + 10 stove top fry-pan)


  • 4 all wheat burger buns
  • 250 gms minced chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of peppered salami
  • 2 large red onion
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 egg
  • 25 gms dried breadcrumbs 
  • 50 gms salted goats cheese
  • 1 bell large pepper
  • 6-7 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • Salt and pepper 
  • Oregano and sage seasoning
  • Olive oil


KITCHEN EQUIPMENT:

  • A large griddle fry pan
  • Chefs knife
  • Chopping board
  • Spatula



METHOD:

For the Patty



  1. Chop 1 large red onion and the bell pepper finely. Shallow fry in the griddle pan with a little olive oil, seasoning with a little salt and pepper.
  2. Allow to cool, and add in minced chicken breast and crack in the egg.
  3. Spoon the mixture together and finally add the breadcrumbs. Coax the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties.
  4. On a medium heat, add a little olive oil to your pan and briskly add the patties. Fry on each side for 3 minutes.
  5. Add your salami to the pan and fry for another 2 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove from pan, add goats cheese to the top of the patty. This will melt the cheese and also allow cooling time for your meat.

Assembly

  1. Slice your burger buns and add to the griddle pan. Toast in all the goodness left behind the by the juices of the patty.
  2. Tear your lettuce leaves and place them roughly on the bottom burger
  3. Slice the remaining onion and tomato into thin circles.
  4. Add the patty & salami on top of the lettuce, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano and sage.
  5. Add the sliced tomato and onion.
  6. Seal the burger with the top half of the burger bun.
