Restaurant Review: Euriska, Koregaon Park,Pune

Hey from EL The Cook!

We review today, Greek gastro pub and lounge, Euriska!
Making waves in the Pune lounge scene with their relaxed ambiance and frequent live music, Euriska is certainly a delight to the senses.

Euriska, taken from the Greek word "Eurisko!" or "I Discover" & modelled after the Greek Island of Santorini,  the place has a modest relaxed look about it.

AMBIANCE

Euriska boasts a pretty enchanting ambiance as night falls..Neon lights turn a brightly lit island feel to a happening gastro pub, all set to provide a rocking evening. With an open bar and kitchen, and dreamcatchers all over the place, Euriska is poised for delicious food with great music vibes.

Heres what we ordered..

WAK MY BAK

Euriska, is famous for its flamboyant cocktails, and we couldn't help try a good wack on the back! With tropical hints of mango and lime combined with a good measure of gin;A sip of this is like sun, sand and surf in a glass! But it doesn't stop there, Euriska's talented barmen add a dash of smoky Laphroaig Single Malt to the mix..adding a flavoursome hint of the barrel to the cocktail making it irresistible!

GRAPE-LEAVES WRAPPED TROUT

The greeks love their fish and they love it even more when its wrapped in grape vines! Imported trout is baked in grape leaves which impart a fruity tone to the fish. The fish is cooked to perfection, complimented well by a balanced brunoise veg sauce.
A flavoursome red sauce is also adds a hint of spice to the Grecian dish.

ROASTED QUAILS

Quail is a delicate meat, often served medium rare to satisfy experienced taste-buds. However it is easily over-cooked or in this case, undercooked. The meat was quite rare to taste and a mention must be made on the menu that it is served on the bone. Quail being a small bird does imply a lot of bones, but there must be a clarification,on the menu.

Aside from the quail itself, there is a rather lovely intertwining string cheese topping and a sumptuous fresh berry compote which really mingle with the toasty quail skin so well.

Euriska, serving up plenty of options in Grecian cuisine (dare we say, too many!). A restaurant with the look of Santorini by day and a super club by night.

Euriska certainly does their cocktail selection proud however their food really brings Greece on a plate, loud and clear! We still find that a few dishes need refinement.

Greece, reflected beautifully in terms of ambiance, food and drink makes Euriska a must try!
