Today we review one of the 18 authentic Italian restaurants in India, the newly opened Dezio.

Famed for their delicious vegetarian Italian fare, Darios located in the quiet abode of Koregaon Park, Pune, was started by Sicilian Chef Dezio Dario. Today he continues his love for Italian cuisine through Dezio.

Dario opened Non vegetarian speciality restaurant earlier this year called Dezio, gastronomia italiana. A true inspiration in the world of Italian cuisine, Dario believes in a hearty dash of spices like garlic and a genuine love for cleanliness and freshness in his food.

The ambiance takes you all the way to Sicily, adorned with paintings  by Dario himself. Classy and comfortable, Dezio reflects the Sicilian casual way of life.

Chef Ravi Chandra, head chef at Dezio, makes sure the freshest Italian fare is served.

Heres what to try:

Pollo Raspaglia

This dish entices the senses with the aroma of fresh parsley,garlic and capers. The chicken, perfectly braised,is balanced well with a tangy lemon jus. The cauliflower floret however is large and mauls the plate from a perfect presentation.

A simple dish, the pollo raspaglia, reflects the essence of Sicily.

 Salmone Lampedusa

The most pricey dish on the menu is also revered as one of the restaurants best!

A fillet of Scottish Salmon(yes, it is imported!), is perfectly seared in a complex, balanced sauce of thyme, tomato and a white wine reduction; Adding a brilliant color and flavor to the dish.

The buttered spinach with the twist of garlic,is utterly divine. It balances out the oiliness of the salmon  

Lampedusa, a pretty island of the Italian coast, is exactly what this plate sums up. 

Dezio, Chef Dario's first steps into commercial non vegetarian Italian cuisine, is a reflection of Italian cuisine like no other.

The authentic produce and the freshness of the vegetables, impeccably reflects his motto of  "Cooked with Love".
