Restaurant Review : Soy, Hotel Le Royce, Pune

SOY, HOTEL Le Royce, PUNE, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA

Hello! EL the Cook reviews, Soy at the  Boutique Hotel Le Royce, Bundgarden Road. The highly rated restaurant featured on Zomato and the Times City Guide, boasts a refined, comfortable and cozy seating along with an attentive and responsive staff.

Recommended here is the basic Chinese cuisine, however the Malay, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine offered is average and doesn't offer much flavor to the seasoned South-East Asian palette.

The Menu is worth a mention and has quite a diversity of options though contains some of the most horrendous spelling errors, definitely a point for the restaurant to improve upon.

The variety of soups offered is commendable and the ones to try are Chicken Wanton Soup and Lemon Coriander Soup.Dumplings offered and cooked to perfection and leave you for  a taste of one more!

As for the starter course, the Chicken Satay is heavenly and Drums of Heaven are succulent and moist.

For the mains the Pomfret in Black Oyster Sauce is melt in the mouth. The Chicken in Oyster Sauce is  a must try and gives your taste buds a lovely hit of flavor. Not recommended is the Nasi Goreng, which is average and lacks the distinct flavor of lemon grass.

The dessert course is good with the Date wanton and Chocolate sushi roll, giving a sweet touch to end your Chinese meal.

Try catching Soy's Chinese festivals which offer a variety of foods not on the standard menu such as sushi and dim-sums.

All said and done, Soy is a fabulous restaurant for Pure Chinese Cuisine, and lives up to its ratings.
