Restaurant Review: Where Else Cafe, Vimannagar, Pune

Hey from EL The Cook!

We were on the hunt for a good breakfast place and found some pretty inviting options at Kalyaninagar and Vimannagar.
The buzz of a notification on Zomato, sent London Muffin Cafe, proudly on the screen.

After 20 minutes of trying to find the place, we gave up. So we decided to try the next best option, Where Else Cafe.
Not too delicious a name, Where Else Cafe, located in the by lanes of Vimannagar, Where Else Cafe is something of a hidden  gem! Featured for American & Parsi breakfast we weren't sure what to expect.

Where Else cafĂ© and bar is owned by brother-sister duo Ardesh and Daisy Rustomjee and  Amritha Shrikumar and Sweta Jobanputra, foodies by heart who want to showcase great breakfasts and super food at any time of the day.

AMBIANCE

Lets let the cat out of the bag, literally. Entering Where Else Cafe, you'll find their charming Egyptian cats welcoming
you with a purr. A pretty Cats Kennel is made up front with a big broad sign Pets Allowed!

There is also a humongous fan,
probably part of the mall, looming as you enter, quite a scary surprise!
The place has both outdoor and indoor seating, with a retro green and red theme, with plush red sofas, guitar to play,
board games and even a Jenga set, Where Else Cafe, really is a charm!

FOOD

Where Else Cafe does amazing breakfasts and brunches. Its probably the only place which has a dedicated pet menu! Where Else Cafe also does corporate menus.
Here is what we tried..

WAKIN' BACON OMELETTE

Amazing to look at and a smoky aroma of bacon, which certainly does some wakin'! The omelette's cheesy stuffing oozes out as you slice it in half. The taste is spectacular, the fluffy omelette and the bacon and cheese compliment each other superbly.
The grilled onions add another dimension of caramelization on the plate. The crisp hash browns are steaming hot and go beautifully with the omelette. A simple dish, with near perfect execution!

EGGS AKOORI

As foodies we often complain that the wonderful small parsi joints are all but gone, and their food, all but vanished..

Enter Where Else Cafes, Eggs Akoori. This dish bring back memories from the time old parsi cafes, served up their heavily spiced scrambled eggs, with that gorgeous fresh pav bread!
The scrambled eggs are wonderfully spiced with coriander, red chilli, black pepper and cooked in that parsi way, really
taking you back to that old school eggs burji.
Real nostalgia in this dish!

ICED CAFE MOCHA

A soothing cold coffee was required after that meal, and Where Else Cafe, impressed us with this cold cuppa Joe!
Its magnetic to look at with whites, creams and browns all swirling in the glass. One sip of this will refresh your senses
and get you prepared for the day ahead!

Where Else Cafe, serving up some sumptuous breakfast; delighting the senses with their American and Parsi cuisine, reasonably priced.
What turned out to be a second choice for our breakfast, was a delightful affair with food, and will be one of our first choices for breakfast!

Where Else Cafe, where catering to your taste-buds and your pets taste-buds are super important! Airy, Retro and Indulgence..words that would describe the place well.

EL The Cook recommends trying Where Else Cafe, for a pretty delicious meal, every time!
