Restaurant Review: Terttulia, Koregaon Park

Hey from EL The Cook!

We explore Terttulia, Koregaon Park, for a touch of notable continental fare.

"Tertullia" means  a social gathering of people with literary and artistic overtones!
The ambiance certainly affirms that with a wide outdoor seating and a cozy indoor setting.

Terttulia houses a great bar and is famous for its refresfhing cocktails and sangrias which are a must try!

However this time we went looking for wines, the wine list disappointed. For a continental dine out, we expected a better selection of wines.

Here's what we gorged on for food

3 MUSHROOM RISOTTO, TOASTED HAZELNUT AND AGED PARMESAN

The mushroom risotto is super comfort food. The large grained rice cooked in with the mushroom stock, is earthy and fragrant. The shitake mushrooms really stand out in terms of their meaty flavor profile!
The  aged parmesan adds distinctive umami notes and compliments the risotto beautifully. The toasty hazelnuts add a crunch to each bite. A well conceptualized dish!

TT'S TENDERLOIN, HONEYED BABY POTATOES AND PORTOBELLO PORT GRAVY

Buff tenderloin is a questionable order. The tenderloin sometimes isn't so tender!

Tertullia does a respectable plate of meat which looks quite spectacular as well. The beautiful portobello gravy with nuances of garlic,  mushroom stock, rosemary and thyme adds a depth to meat.
The honeyed potatoes add a much required sweetness to the dish.

SALTED CARAMEL PANNACOTTA

Wobble, Wobble.. the dessert which found its way to our table was this beautiful pannacotta.

The taste however was another story. The cake which the pannacotta is served on was a dense chocolate cake which was a contradiction to the light fluffy layer on the top.

The lightness of the dish is destroyed by the heavy cake. The salted caramel sauce on the side was the dish's biggest letdown. The sauce was lumpy and thick and had a congealed texture.

Their sangrias and cocktails are refreshing. Their mains are well thought of and executed well. The desserts are hopefully better the next time we visit!

Visit Terttulia for a slice of Pune's chill scene!

Have a great weekend!
